About the Owner
Dr. Raghuvir Salkar is the sole proprietor of Kuvelkar Salkar Associates (KSA), an engineering design consultancy firm established in 1996 with operations all over India and outside India in countries like Ivory Coast, Indonesia, Bangladesh, Zambia and the Philippines.
Research conducted by Dr. Salkar during his Ph.D. at the University of Maine (USA) was published in the American Steel Design Code and is still used by practising engineers today. After completing his Ph.D. in Structural Engineering, Dr. Salkar worked in Boston for 2 years. He came back to India in 1996, and established KSA in partnership with Mr. Kuvelkar.
Dr. Salkar is well reputed among his peers in the engineering community. Dr. Salkar was the President of ACI India Chapter from 2019-2021. He is also a member of various other professional organizations including American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC), Institution of Engineers India (IEI), and Engineering Council of India.
Having a strong educational background, Dr. Salkar is an advocate for ensuring quality education to students. He is a member of Goa State Higher Education Council, Board of Studies at Goa University, and the Campus Development Committee of Goa Institute of Management. He has also chaired various technical conferences, given technical talks at colleges and evaluated post graduate and Ph.D. students during their final examinations in Goa and Maharashtra.
